TURN IT UP

Westwood, CA

Dressing for date night can be hard. All that pressure of wanting to WOW with your outfit, partnered with having no idea where you're going can be pretty stressful, amiright? The good news is that it's summer. And to me, that means the dress-code rules go out the window a bit. Anything goes!  Sneakers with a fitted dress, a daytime romper for dinner or a pair of sunnies and jeans for an after work meet-up, just embrace the warm weather and toss the rules out to sea!

This off-the-shoulder number from NEWCHIC is a fun alternative to the classic LBD. I actually wore it to a work event the other night because it's a bit too dressy for date night over here in Venice beach, but I will probably pack it for my upcoming tropical vacation! Ahhh can't it always be summer?

Ready to Party

The Culver Hotel

You’ve got the invites (and you’re STILL getting more!) Your close friends, your dear aunt, that new neighbor who moved in a few weeks ago—it seems like EVERYONE is throwing a party this holiday season. And while it’s undeniably the most wonderful time of the year, it can be tricky to align your wardrobe with your busy social calendar.  What you need is a plan: a clear idea of what you'll wear to each event. That way, you'll be free to enjoy the season for what it really is — an excuse to eat, drink and dance!

To prep for the endless party, I teamed up with Stylewe to put together a holiday look that’s sure to score you a compliment (or two)!

The LBD was just meant for holiday parties. Flirty and universally flattering, almost anyone can give this dress a twirl. Try it with some sparkle: a statement necklace or bracelet offer the right touch of festive flair. And because it’s so warm here in Los Angeles, I skipped wearing tights and opted for this fun fit and flare. However, if you live in a chillier climate, I’ve linked lots of other options for you at the bottom of this post.

 Enjoy the season of dancing!

All Dressed Up

Beverly Hills, CA

This dress may be the only dress you need for your next big night (or day) out. Made for special occasions, I wore it last week to a fancy work event in Beverly Hills. I love everything about it. The double layer design, the ruffled neckline, the thick sweatery texture, the girly silhouette, the rich green color. It's feminine, it's flirty, it's something I like to imagine Audrey Hepburn might wear... need I go on about why it's just so lovely?

I paired it with some geo-chic heels to give the look a little edge and a simple black clutch. Because the dress really stands alone, it requires very little accessorizing.

Oh, if I could live in this outfit I would.

What are the pieces you guys can't get enough of right now?
