East Coast Spring Staples

Plum Island, MA

IMG_1864.jpg

For spring in New England, I've learned that it's important to embrace all the typical breezy pieces that I loved as a west coaster—but also warm layers. So far, it seems to be a season that can't make up its mind. And while I can relate, (you should see how long it takes me to pick out what TV show to watch at night) it doesn't make it easy to pick out what to wear. For instance, it was 90 here a few weeks ago, and then it was in the 40's last weekend...seriously. So I've been learning to rely on easy staple pieces. You can't really go wrong with this breezy button-down and NYDJ jean combo, eh?

A TOUCH OF TIE DYE

Los Angeles, CA

IMG_9736.jpg

There's one trend that seems to be everywhere right now and it's tie-dye. Yup, the print that I rocked as a little kid is back and here to stay (seemingly for a while). From matching sets to scrunchies, sweatpants, swimsuits, and dresses, it seems to be the print of the summer! And while I've seen just about every fashion girl rocking some version of the psychedelic print, I am still a bit shy to go all in. That's why this chic ruffle tank is just so perfect! It is great if you want to dip your toe in the trend—without diving in. I've paired it with white skinnies and some tassel statement earrings for a look that's perfect for picnics, zoom meetings, and face-time dates with friends!
