The All-Season Staple

Beverly Hills, CA

There are very few pieces that you can wear in ANY season but when I find them, I tend to load my closet with them. While I may be a California girl, I spend quite a bit of time traveling back east throughout the year and I can still appreciate the importance of a cross-seasonal staple. So what are they?

A great blazer that can take you from the office to the after-party.

Pleated trouser pants- they look great with a tucked in tank and also a cozy knit sweater.

A chic crossbody is a year-round accessory YES.

The chambray shirt is great with white shorts and skinnies but it is also a go-to layering piece during colder months.

The LBD- must I really explain? Dates, dinner-parties, work, play- we need it for everything and one that really flatters.

The suede skirt is great on its own when it's warm, it takes on more of a mod vibe with tights and a leather jacket during colder months.

When it comes to staple pieces, I say it's important to splurge a bit. That is why this gorgeous suede skirt from AG Jeans is a must-have. An investment you'll wear season, after season, it takes on a femme look here with a frilly tank and ruffled mules but can easily go edgy or classic when paired with different tops and accessories. I simply love it. Check out more of my cross-seasonal musts below!

BEND THE RULES

Los Angeles, CA

Some rules are meant to be broken, especially when it comes to style. That being said, when it's a matter of wearing white, I have always been a fan of donning it before Memorial Day. After all, why should it be a faux pas to rock it on May 29th yet totally acceptable on June 1st? Pure madness!

So when I received this crisp pair from AG Jeans the other day, I had to find a reason to wear them immediately. Besides being insanely comfy (like all of their styles) this pair takes your ripped skinnies to a whole new level with edgy step hems and an ultra high-waist. I can already see myself wearing these everywhere over the coming season and today, I paired them with a high-low top from SHEIN. As you guys know, I've always been a sucker for stripes but I love how this tank puts a unique spin (with a longer silhouette) on an age-old print.  The resulting look is fresh, playful and great for a busy spring day.

So what do you guys think? Is white before Memorial Day ok in your book?

Maxxinista Monday

Beverly Hills, CA

Last week, I was able to take part in the Maxx50 challenge at TJ Maxx. They gave me a $50 gift card and told me to see how much I could find at the store for fifty dollars. If you saw the takeover I did, then you probably noticed that the options were endless. From beach towels, to designer tops- they truly have everything for the upcoming season! I grabbed a nautical beach bag for my Mum, a lace embroidered top for my sister and yes, I even found this floral dress for myself. It's such an easy throw-on-and-go piece for spring and I adore the ruffle off-the-shoulder detailing. The colors are light and beautiful and it's as perfect for your upcoming Easter brunch as it is a casual day of shopping. Oh and the best part? It's 16.99. I found it in the store and couldn't find the exact same one online but I linked some very similar options for you guys below.

Happy Monday!
