SHORT SLEEVE STAPLE SWEATERS

Newburyport, MA

When it comes to switching out your fall closet into winter, it's all about finding great transitional pieces—cue the short sleeve sweater. It is genius! If you live in a warmer climate (like I used to) or if you're spending most of your days working inside your home this winter, it is the perfect alternative to a bulky sweater. This gorgeous pink short sleeve sweater from Repeat Cashmere  is one you can throw on for any season. I love the refreshing blush hue and it works just as well tucked into skinnies as it does with a midi skirt for the holidays or work trousers.

And yes, I understand that cashmere has the reputation of being high-end and expensive, but the quality is definitely worth the investment. I continue to wear all of my beautiful Repeat Cashmere sweaters (see another post I shared here) and it keeps me warmer than some other bulkier options made with different materials. They have lots of beautiful cashmere short-sleeve sweaters to choose from so if you haven't already added one to your wardrobe, check them out.

STAPLES YOU'LL LOVE FOREVER

Beverly Hills, CA

As a blogger, I spend a decent amount of time trying on new trends and testing out new ways to wear things. However, I think it's the classics that are really worth investing in. From timeless trench coats to accessories I'll always adore, I look to staple pieces to make up most of my wardrobe. You know what I'm talking about. It's the styles that you'll love for years—if not decades. One of my go-to classic brands is REPEAT Cashmere. Like this button-down I'm wearing here, all of their pieces are both versatile and high-quality.

Today I paired their top with ripped skinnies, spring booties, and a trendier belt bag for a look that's great for the office. However, it also works well layered over a tank, tucked into a mini skirt, or even as a beach coverup!

The All-Season Staple

Beverly Hills, CA

There are very few pieces that you can wear in ANY season but when I find them, I tend to load my closet with them. While I may be a California girl, I spend quite a bit of time traveling back east throughout the year and I can still appreciate the importance of a cross-seasonal staple. So what are they?

A great blazer that can take you from the office to the after-party.

Pleated trouser pants- they look great with a tucked in tank and also a cozy knit sweater.

A chic crossbody is a year-round accessory YES.

The chambray shirt is great with white shorts and skinnies but it is also a go-to layering piece during colder months.

The LBD- must I really explain? Dates, dinner-parties, work, play- we need it for everything and one that really flatters.

The suede skirt is great on its own when it's warm, it takes on more of a mod vibe with tights and a leather jacket during colder months.

When it comes to staple pieces, I say it's important to splurge a bit. That is why this gorgeous suede skirt from AG Jeans is a must-have. An investment you'll wear season, after season, it takes on a femme look here with a frilly tank and ruffled mules but can easily go edgy or classic when paired with different tops and accessories. I simply love it. Check out more of my cross-seasonal musts below!
