Stress has a way of finding you no matter how sunny the weather, or how long and magical your vacation. What’s the deal with that? The problem with vacation is that reality is always waiting for you when you get home and because I’ve been dealing with more stress and change than I’d like to these days, I’ve found that it’s important to focus on finding peace in the little things. At the farmer's market this past weekend, instead of the fresh blooms that I usually flock to, I decided to pick up some duel purpose lavender. Not only are they beautiful, but the calming spa-like smell has filled my apartment and they look beautiful when they dry out too! What’s not to love?
I’m wearing some incredibly comfortable magenta geo print shorts from Forever 21. Drawstring woven mini-shorts are popping up all over the place this season and hey if fashionable gym shorts (the kind that are slightly reminiscent of the ones I used to wear in high school) are in style- I'm all about it. Vibrant colors like this magenta here, are also perfect for showing off summer tans, which happens to be a bonus. I paired them with a white cutout tank from Urban Peach and some black strappy sandals that I got for $39.99 at Off Broadway Shoes. I love them, and now, maybe it's just me, but they kind of remind me of my own version of Birkenstocks… a little bit?
They're a quarter of the price... are you noticing the resemblance now?
