Who else is loving gingham prints this season? While black is such a classic, I couldn’t resist this sky blue gingham dress from Goodnight Macaroon when I saw it. The light shade is so sweet and soft, plus the ruffled hem and cut-out front make it anything but basic. Oh and let’s talk about the versatility! This is definitely a gingham dress you can wear to BBQ, a baby shower and everything else in between.  

Oh and here's a fun dose of reality for you: Minutes after I took this photo, I stepped on a bee on the grass and got stung. I caused a bit of a scene screaming at the top of my lungs outside of the Beverly Hills Hotel and then, the next day, my foot was the size of a balloon. After going to a local urgent care, I discovered that I got a staph infection from the sting- AH! I couldn't really walk for a couple days and it was incredibly painful but I survived. Moral of the story, life is not really as glamorous as the blog photos!

Looking to upgrade your go-to pieces? Same here. With each new season, I feel the need to declutter my closet and also refresh my everyday essentials. I'm talking cozy cardigans for winter, perfect sandals for summer—the things that will always remain in style no matter what new trends are being talked about. 

For the warmer spring days, I've been switching out my sweaters for cute short-sleeved tees like this one and the one I am wearing here. Both are stylish enough to wear with a blazer or skirt, yet casual enough to pair with shorts. As for my jeans, I am swapping out my dark denim for lighter shades. This cropped pair from AG puts a new spin on white skinnies. In addition to those, I've found the comfiest pair of platform sandals around. Designed to make style feel good, I would seriously have worn these to Coachella (where we walked 10+ miles a day) if they came in time! As much as I love cozy weather and crisp days, I am definitely more of a warm weather girl. And with spring in the air, there are new, fresh trends blossoming. From pretty pink hues and ruffles to headscarves, bows and dressed-up sneakers, I'm wearing another one of my favorite spring styles today—florals. 

Though they always seem to be in season, bloom prints are definitely receiving a bit more attention than usual. No longer reserved for tea parties and brunch, the newer iterations are unexpected and elevated.  This wrap-dress from Goodnight Macaroon is equal parts flattering and vibrant. I love the ruffled sleeves and the shorter hemline pairs well with sneakers, sandals, and low-heeled mules. Vibrant accessories match with it too, making this the perfect dress for island escapes, beach days and everything else summer-related.

Oh and I have been getting a lot of hair questions lately so I figured I would spill my latest secret—it's my latest shampoo & conditioner regiment. I have been using (all organic) products from Juice Organics! Available at Target, the Volumizing Line has finally given my locks some LIFE. I had honestly tried everything to give my hair more shine and oomph (even prenatal vitamins!) and I have finally found the answer. AMEN!
