STAPLES YOU'LL LOVE FOREVER

Beverly Hills, CA

As a blogger, I spend a decent amount of time trying on new trends and testing out new ways to wear things. However, I think it's the classics that are really worth investing in. From timeless trench coats to accessories I'll always adore, I look to staple pieces to make up most of my wardrobe. You know what I'm talking about. It's the styles that you'll love for years—if not decades. One of my go-to classic brands is REPEAT Cashmere. Like this button-down I'm wearing here, all of their pieces are both versatile and high-quality.

Today I paired their top with ripped skinnies, spring booties, and a trendier belt bag for a look that's great for the office. However, it also works well layered over a tank, tucked into a mini skirt, or even as a beach coverup!

THE COLD WEATHER CROP

Mar Vista, CA

Oh hello to cropped sweater—aka my new winter wardrobe staple. Not only is it perfect for layering, but this previously saved-for-summer favorite is a great blend of cozy and cool, casual style. From wearing it with extra high-waisted skinnies or layering over a tight-fitting turtleneck, the cold weather styling options are truly endless.

Speaking of cropped, have you guys tried on a pair of cropped jeans yet? Perfectly warm, they were made to show off your cutest winter booties (like these black Rockport beauties). I love this high-waisted pair because they are oh so flattering. Is it the season of cropped clothing? I think so.

CHILLAX

Los Angeles, CA

IMG_0650.jpg

How’s everybody’s weekend shaping up? It’s been pretty great on my end (despite getting shingles). From baths to home cooked meals (not sure how long it’s been since that’s happened!) to countless episodes of The Crown, this self-care weekend is doing me right. To be honest, I think that getting sick has reminded me that I need to slow down a bit. I was burning the candle at both ends, traveling from the east coast to the west coast then going into the office for a full day, staying at work till 10p then waking up at 7A to record voiceover… it was too much.

I think today, there is so much pressure to be some sort of super-person. Maybe this was always a thing and I just ignored it, but lately, I feel it… a lot. Pressure to travel more, pressure to be a #girlboss, pressure to keep up with my friends’ life milestones, pressure to be funny…. I could go on here. But trying to do and be it all can be exhausting.

Sometimes a weekend free of plans is just good for the soul. Oh and on a fashionable note, isn’t this Chicwish sweater the coziest? Toss it on over graphic tee and jeans and you may have just found your new go-to weekend look.
