I always find it hard to figure out what to wear this time of year. Ugly sweater season has passed, winter sales are at their peak so you’re tempted to stock up on “old” styles and it’s definitely not warm enough to try on any spring trends yet. It feels like a bit of a fashion limbo. And here in Los Angeles, when temps never drop below 60, it can start to be a little uninspiring. That’s why I always think it’s important to stock up on a few fail-proof pieces. A great pencil skirt, a houndstooth print, a trench coat— these things will never go out of style.
