It's official: matching sets are all the rage right now. I remember one matching striped pencil skirt and tank top combo that I had a couple of years ago and LOVED, but it was the only one I can recall wearing. Now, the options are endless, and I am so happy about it! From coordinating blazers and pants, to two-piece denim sets and pretty summer prints, there is a combo to suit each and every style. And the thing I love most about it? The ease of styling them! Once you've found the perfect two piece, all you need to do is pick out a pair of shoes and accessorize.

I've always leaned more towards more feminine styles and silhouettes, that's why I grabbed this midi-skirt and cropped tank combo from Chicwish. It's effortlessly chic and it is such a fun alternative to one of my traditional summer midi dresses. I wore it last weekend to get brunch and cupcakes with some friends at Magnolia Bakery (aka cupcake heaven) but it would also be a great option for a baby or bridal shower.

Venice Vibes

The metallic midi skirt. I loved it in the winter, I love it for spring and it's pretty safe to say I'll be wearing it with a tank all the way into summer. It's honestly one of the most versatile pieces I own. It is great dressed up or down, it's on every bloggers LOVE LIST and it's easy to see why. Offering a world of shimmer, this pleated midi creates just enough flash to dress up even your most basic tee (like this comfy one I have on here today) and it looks great with sneakers or sky-high stilettos. Yup, the options are truly endless with this skirt. It is insanely versatile skirt and right now, this one from DressLilly is under $30.

Hope you're all enjoying the long weekend. I am actually working today but I had a great couple of days. I ate Korean BBQ, danced with friends and even caught a few extra zzz's. Doesn't get much better than that, does it?

One-of-a-kind

Culver City, CA

There’s a chill in the air (even here in California) but I’m still wearing skirts and cropped jackets. I know it’s the time of year that’s meant for plaid prints and oversized sweaters but that’s the beauty of living in LA. Even when it’s cold, it’s not really THAT cold. And when Stylewe asked me to pick out a few pieces from their current catalogue, I went right for this flamingo printed midi skirt. Isn’t it adorable?  I plan on wearing it straight through summer.

I paired it with a tucked-in top and a sweet little holiday red jacket. It’s a fun alternative to your go-to brunch look. I love trends just as much as the next fashion girl, but every once in a while, it’s fun to go a little off track. And anyone who knows me, knows that I really like to dance to my own beat. So for all my unconventional ladies out there—this one’s for you!
