GETTING WILD(ER)

Mar Vista, CA

Animal prints have been a thing for a while now. But I have never really been big into wearing them. No matter how many spots I'd see in fashion magazines, I never felt myself when I tried them on. But lately, with all the exotic options available, there are animal-printed styles that even I can pull off. Whether it's a leopard print jacket or python boots, these newer, more muted options are perfect for the more timid print-wearers out there (like me!)

This peachy zebra and leopard print dress from Nordstrom is a perfect example. It makes a statement without screaming at you. I love it paired with a leather jacket for some added edge and it would also be cute with a denim coat for spring. This animal-print purchase was one of my firsts, but I have a feeling it won't be my last.

Transitional Must-Haves—No Matter the Coast

Los Angeles, CA

Depending on where you live, transitional dressing can be very different. Back in my hometown in New England, it often means that you could be dealing with snow one day and 70 degree weather another. While in LA, it's never really too cold or too hot during the transition from winter to spring.

So what is the cross-seasonal piece you need no matter where you live?

The trench coat. It's the perfect weight and length for transitional weather. I love it because it keeps you warm without being too heavy and it's great for layering. And depending on your climate, you can grab one that's warmer or lightweight.

I love to throw it on over a fitted dress for when it’s too chilly to wear alone, with a pair of cropped skinnies or with a printed skirt.

I went classic with the tan color but you can pretty much shop a trench in every shade under the rainbow. I love the idea of a pink version of this, don't you guys? Oh and this particular one is under $50!

THE FESTIVE EVENING

Franklin Village, CA

IDEAl for: somethng dressy

The holidays are a time when you really can't overdo the shimmer and glitter. It's also a time to try on soft textures like faux fur and velvet! This little sheath dress has a classy length that is offset by a side slit and choker neckline. I lve its deep burgundy color and because of the rich details, accessorizing is easy! Aaron kept the makeup romantic and classic (just the way I like it!) while I added some celestial studs for a bit of extra shine. Who's ready to dance?
