spring steps

West Hollywood, CA

It’s cold, it’s hot—the weather changes so much this time of year that it's impossible to know if you need duck boots or sandals when you step outside. And as we near the cusp of spring (yay!) I think it's a good time to pull out those transitional pieces that will carry you through both seasons (no matter the weather).

Working as a fashion editor for many years, I lived in heels but nowadays, I've found that an outfit can be just as stylish with a pair of comfy boots or sneakers. The Hattie Sneaker by Vionic proves that it's totally possible to be comfortable and look put together in a pair of kicks. In fact, Vionic designs all of their shoes with supportive technology so that you don't ever have to suffer through a day of painful walking again! And because I live on-the-go, I really need a pair of shoes that will keep up with the many steps I take a day (and not leave me with blistered feet). I love pairing these with blazers, dresses and maxi skirts for a bit of contrast.

Oh and can we talk about these jeans for just a second? Are they pants? Are they shorts? Doesn't matter. I'm comfortable, warm, and still able to feel a little breeze on the ankles.

Spring, I'm ready for ya!

STEP IT UP

Westwood, CA

I have a really hectic 9-5 routine—who doesn’t right? I work as a fashion editor and often early before I hit the office I do voice over work for a couple of kids animated shows. Odd, exciting, hectic, crazy (call it whatever you want) I am usually hustling to get 340 things done during a typical day. But no matter how crazed things get, I think it’s still important to express my personal style. That’s why I REALLY love the new limited edition Keds x kate spade new york leopard slip-ons. They are the ultimate fashion-meets-comfort shoe.

Great for fall, they will definitely be my go-to shoe for work, dinner—and everything in between! Animal prints are like neutrals. They show up on my must-have list season after season. Black, beige and powerful, it’s the killer combo of calf hair and leopard print that adds that necessary edge in this pair of flats.

From ripped skinnies or black trousers, to comfy leggings or a mini skirt, these shoes can take any staple piece from basic to bold in one easy step.

You’ll definitely see me running all over town in these!

KEEP IT CASUAL

Venice, CA

I have one motto for summer dressing: less is more.  I say warm sticky days call for light, easy styling. Give me a pair of shorts, a comfy tee and some sandals and I'm set. A skirt and sneakers? Sign me up. Today's fun look has the ability to get me out the door and straight to a friend’s backyard faster than you can say rosé. What's better than a summer outfit that can do all that? Not much.
