I have a really hectic 9-5 routine—who doesn’t right? I work as a fashion editor and often early before I hit the office I do voice over work for a couple of kids animated shows. Odd, exciting, hectic, crazy (call it whatever you want) I am usually hustling to get 340 things done during a typical day. But no matter how crazed things get, I think it’s still important to express my personal style. That’s why I REALLY love the new limited edition Keds x kate spade new york leopard slip-ons. Things are really heating up here in Los Angeles. Already warm, it’s been especially steamy these past few days with sticky, 90 degree days and balmy nights. While it doesn’t exactly make for the most comfortable picnic weather, it’s perfect for an evening stroll or outdoor dinner date.

Last night I stepped out for cocktails in this airy floral dress. With beautiful bell sleeves and a short, flowy design, this piece is really a summer dream. Now I don’t know about you guys but somewhere it has been ingrained in my mind to think “daytime” when I see a flowery print. Set aside only for brunches and lunch-dates, I used to think these pretty prints were not appropriate for evening territory. Thankfully I’ve evolved. With addition of pumps and a structured jacket or sweater, your look can go from day-to-night in a snap. From whimsical watercolor prints to airy chiffons and crimson red blossoms, floral dresses come in an array of romantic options, all perfect for your next night out.

Comfy, stylish and perfectly professional-- trouser pants really have it all! They’re undeniably feminine and about as classic as the beloved Annie Hall. While it wasn’t exactly easy for me to make the transition from my go-to skinnies to the newer, silkier cuts that have made their way onto the scene, I feel like I’ve finally figured out how to make them my own.

These high-waisted maroon trousers are from Forever 21’s Contemporary line. They’re silky soft and pleated, which makes for a really flattering silhouette. I paired them with a flowy lilac top because I think the colors balance really nicely. What I love most about these pants, however, is the cropped ankles. It really shows off a great pair of shoes and helps to elongate your legs. With that in mind, I chose to wear these stunning new Coach sandals. They are a great ivory color so they pair well with just about everything.

This lookout is located just a few blocks from my office. It’s a great little escape that we frequent from time to time. There are baseball fields, hiking trails, dog parks and running paths but mostly we go there for the views. It’s really breathtaking and this week, I needed a refreshing break. I love this shoot because Danny, my coworker, (and incredibly talented photographer) was able to capture exactly how we were feeling. Sometimes to stay grounded, all you need is a little bit of air.
